Lessons normally last 2 hours, from Monday to Friday, in the time slots from 17:15 to 19:15 and from 19:15 to 21:15. However, for students of Colegio Runnymede, lesson times may be from 16:45 to 18:45 and from 18:45 to 20:45. A maximum of 5 students per class is permitted.
In the Support Classes Holiday Calendar (2025-26 Academic Year), Think Ahead Academy will specify the days considered as Holidays, on which no Academic Year lessons will be taught, and the days considered as Recoverable Holidays, for which the manner and means by which the corresponding lessons will be made up will be established.
All Support Classes (2025-26 Academic Year) are taught in English, except for those IB subjects taught in Spanish, depending on the school the students come from.
Enrolment and reservation of places
To formalise the reservation of a place before the start of the 2025-26 Academic Year, it will be necessary to pay the amount corresponding to the registration fee and the deposit through the issuing of an invoice.
The registration fee costs 100 euros for those who enrol in one subject, and 160 euros for those who enrol in two or more subjects. The deposit amounts to 100 euros and is paid once only, regardless of the number of subjects.
The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. The deposit will only be refunded in the account statement adjustment (final settlement of the course), and only if the student remains enrolled until the end of the 2025-26 Academic Year.
Once the 2025-26 Academic Year has begun, it will not be necessary to pay a deposit but a registration fee will be required, which will not be refunded under any circumstances:
- In the first term, the registration fee will be 100 euros to enrol in one subject or 160 euros to enrol in two or more.
- From 1 January 2026, the registration fee will be 50 euros to enrol in one subject or 100 euros to enrol in two or more.

Method of payment
The collection of the registration fee, deposit, lessons and, in general, any type of service provided by Think Ahead Academy is carried out by direct debit, with clients providing the payer’s tax and banking details on the SEPA direct debit mandate sent by Think Ahead Academy. The repeated return of receipts implies the student’s discontinuation from their lessons.
If, in exceptional cases, the payment cannot be direct debited, the lessons will be paid quarterly in advance during the first five working days of the first month of the quarterly instalment. Delay in the advance quarterly payment will prevent the student from continuing in their lessons at the academy.
Enrolments during the Academic Year
In the event of enrolling once the 2025-26 Academic Year has begun, the annual amount will be calculated on the basis of the number of lessons remaining in the course. An adjustment will be made to the invoice for the first monthly instalment so that the remaining instalments match the tables set out above.
Absence policy
For enrolments in the first term, the student has 1 annual absence of any kind for one subject taken, 2 absences for two subjects, and 3 absences for three or more subjects.
For enrolments in the second term, the student has 1 annual absence for two subjects taken and 2 absences for three or more subjects.
For enrolments in the third term, the student has no absences for the subjects taken.
Rules on the use of absences
In the event of an absence, one of the assigned absence credits is automatically used, regardless of whether or not prior notice has been given.
Once all available credits have been used as indicated above, any additional absence will be invoiced in full.
For organisational reasons, it remains compulsory to report any absence before 14:00 on the day of the lesson, either by email to Clara Aragoncillo (clara.aragoncillo@thinkaheadeducation.com) or via the WhatsApp group shared with the family.
Extra Classes
Extra Classes are a Think Ahead Academy resource to provide additional help (at a greatly reduced cost) for students who need it.
An Extra Class may be requested by the client or recommended by the academy following a request from the student’s teacher.
Extra Classes may be individual or group, at the client’s request, provided the centre can meet such requests given the availability of teaching staff.
As they are conceived as a complementary educational tool, they are priced at 25 euros/hour.
Extra Classes may only be booked for those subjects in which the student takes part during the Support Classes period (2025-26 Academic Year).
Extra Classes will be invoiced month by month.
Account statement adjustment (settlement)
Upon completion of the Support Classes (2025-26 Academic Year), whether because the client withdraws or because the 2025-26 Academic Year has ended, an account statement adjustment (settlement) will be carried out, taking into consideration the lessons that have already been delivered out of the total planned for the year, with the aim of ensuring that only the lessons delivered have been invoiced. This adjustment consists of a single invoice.
Pick-up Service
The pick-up service will only be available as a one-way journey and from Kings College Soto de Viñuelas school.
The price per journey is 12€.
In the event of an absence for the Pick-up Service, the Secretary’s Office must be notified before 14:00 on the day of the lesson.
Reporting an absence after 14:00 on the day of the lesson will not exempt the client from the payment corresponding to that journey.
In the event of a delay in the Pick-up Service, Think Ahead Academy undertakes to deliver the 2 hours of lessons established.
Changes in teaching staff and making up lessons
Teaching staff may be replaced for justified cause, for a limited period or permanently, by another teacher with the same qualifications.
In the event that any Support Class (2025-26 Academic Year) is suspended at the academy’s instigation or coincides with a recoverable holiday indicated in the Think Ahead Academy calendar, that lesson will be made up. If it is not possible to arrange such a make-up for reasons attributable to Think Ahead Academy, the amount will be refunded in the account statement adjustment (settlement).
Christmas, Easter and Ad Hoc Intensive Courses
The Christmas and Easter Intensive Courses are group lessons delivered by Think Ahead Academy in the morning or afternoon, online.
The Ad Hoc Intensive Courses are individual lessons delivered by Think Ahead Academy online and at a time to be agreed with the client.
Generally, the sessions of the Intensive Courses last 2 hours, although there may be exceptions duly described by Think Ahead Academy in the specifications of each session.
All sessions corresponding to the Intensive Courses in academic subjects of the British System and the International Baccalaureate in English are taught in English. Only the sessions relating to International Baccalaureate subjects in Spanish are taught in Spanish.

The student will be formally registered in each of the reserved sessions upon receipt by Think Ahead Academy of the registration form, with the corresponding invoicing process starting in parallel.
Once registration for a session has been formalised, Think Ahead Academy undertakes to deliver the session on the scheduled date and time, for which it will provide the necessary human and material resources.
For the Ad Hoc Intensive Courses, the academy will agree with the client the total duration of the Intensive Course. The student will be formally registered when the client pays the corresponding invoice.
Absence policy
If, due to force majeure, Think Ahead Academy is unable to deliver a session of an Intensive Course, an attempt will be made to reschedule it. In the event that it cannot be made up, the client will be refunded the amount corresponding to that session.
If the registered student is unable to attend a session for personal reasons or any type of indisposition, they must report it at least 24 hours in advance by email to Clara Aragoncillo (clara.aragoncillo@thinkaheadeducation.com). In that case, the corresponding amount will be refunded, with such refund being limited to a single absence throughout the Intensive Course. Any other additional absence, even if it has been reported with the required notice, will not be refunded.
If notice is given less than 24 hours in advance, the session will be considered non-recoverable and its amount will not be refunded.
Price and method of payment
Each session of a Christmas, Easter and Summer Intensive Course is priced at 45 euros/hour.
Each session of an Ad Hoc Intensive Course is priced at 45 euros/hour.
Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account provided by Think Ahead Academy, although Think Ahead Academy may also debit the amount of the sessions to the client by means of a SEPA receipt, provided that the client has given the corresponding authorisation.
Summer Intensive Courses
The Summer Intensive Courses are also blocks of group lessons delivered by Think Ahead Academy in the morning or afternoon, online.
With a model that seeks to revise the most important topics of the previous year (Revise model) or to get ahead with key content of the following year (Get Ahead model), these courses are planned to be covered over one week, with a teaching load of 2 hours per day from Monday to Friday (10 hours in total per block), although there may be exceptions duly described by Think Ahead Education in the specifications of each session.
All lessons corresponding to the Intensive Courses in academic subjects of the British System and the International Baccalaureate in English are taught in English. Only the sessions relating to International Baccalaureate subjects in Spanish are taught in Spanish.
Also, as part of the offer, in addition to the regular lessons, we will offer some special courses that will be delivered in person.

Each subject contracted for the Summer Courses, whether in the Revise or Get Ahead model, costs 450 euros/block (5 sessions of 2 hours over one week).
The special courses may have a different cost from the regular lessons depending on the nature and duration of the course.
When contracting two subjects/courses during the Summer Courses of one period, a 10% discount is applied to the total amount contracted.
If 3 subjects/courses are contracted, the discount increases to 15% on the total amount contracted.
Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account provided by Think Ahead Academy, although Think Ahead Academy may also debit the amount of the sessions to the client by means of a SEPA receipt, provided that the client has given the corresponding authorisation.
Examination Centre

For Cambridge examinations, students will be referred to Virtus College, with which Think Ahead Academy has an exclusive agreement.
Think Ahead Academy cannot examine any subject of the Diploma Programme (International Baccalaureate).
Think Ahead Academy reserves the right of registration for these examinations, taking into account the established quota and the internal limits that the centre may have at any given time.
Think Ahead Academy undertakes to safeguard the interests of candidates, ensuring examination conditions set by the examination board and fully managing the sending of the examinations to the United Kingdom for marking and the subsequent issuing of official grade certificates once received from the competent British authority.

If, due to force majeure, Think Ahead Academy is unable to carry out the scheduled examination sitting, the invoicing process under way will be halted and, eventually, the registered student will be refunded the full amount paid.
If the registered student is unable to attend the examination, due to a problem of their own or any type of personal indisposition, the amount of the session will be invoiced in full; likewise, if payment has been made, the amount of that payment will not be refunded, although Think Ahead Academy will assess each case individually.
Price and method of payment
The price of this service varies depending on the type of subject, the examination board and the point in the course at which registration takes place.
Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account provided by Think Ahead Academy, although Think Ahead Academy may also debit the amount of the sessions to the client by means of a SEPA receipt, provided that the client has given the corresponding authorisation.

Think Ahead Academy will specify in its school calendar the non-teaching days (holidays) and the so-called “recoverable holidays”, indicating the ways in which the corresponding lessons will be made up.
Shared commitments
Think Ahead Academy undertakes to:
- Ensure that the Centre complies with the laws and regulations of the Community of Madrid, the Kingdom of Spain and the European Union.

- Ensure, under their responsibility, that the student has been vaccinated with the compulsory vaccines specified in Spain’s vaccination schedule.
- Ensure, under their responsibility, that the student has medical insurance before entering the Centre, on the understanding that the Centre does not assume any type of medical or pharmaceutical expense arising from any illness or accident of the student.
- Ensure that the student arrives at the Centre on time and properly equipped for lessons.
- Inform the Centre of any scheduled absence or report supervening causes that prevent the student from attending lessons.
- Avoid all unnecessary absences, including holidays during the teaching period.

- Attend their lessons regularly and punctually, thus contributing to the proper functioning of the centre.
Admissions and Fees
Admission to the centre
Think Ahead Academy reserves the right of admission to and continuity in the Private Candidates Programme for those students whose behaviour is deemed incompatible with the dynamics of the Centre.
Parents understand and accept that having provided false, inaccurate or misleading data may lead to the rejection of the enrolment application or to the expulsion of the student from the Centre, with the Centre being exempt from all financial or any other type of liability arising from the rejection of the enrolment application or the expulsion of the student.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that the student has the visa/permit to study in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Spain. The absence of this visa/permit would invalidate the student’s admission, with the Centre being exempt from all financial or any other type of liability.
Cost of the Programme
The start date of the Programme and the number of teaching hours will be defined according to the personalised strategy agreed between the academy and the family, without prejudice to both parties agreeing, during the academic year, to increase or reduce the number of teaching hours due to relevant changes in the student’s educational strategy.
The cost of the programme is calculated at a rate of €60/hour and on the basis of the total number of teaching hours scheduled from the start date of the Programme until the week of 15 June 2026 (the last teaching week of the 2025-26 Academic Year).
The total amount of the course is divided into three instalments, invoiced in accordance with the payment schedule in clause 48.
Lessons during official examination sittings
There are up to three official examination sittings during the school year. The dates comprising each sitting and the specific dates of each examination are published by the examination boards (Edexcel, CIE) or by the Diploma Programme.
To facilitate study during official examination periods, the Centre modifies students’ timetables applying the following criteria:
- Cancelling lessons on the day before an official examination, unless the lesson is in the same subject as the examination.
- Cancelling all lessons on the day there is an official examination.
- Adding online lessons during the week and/or at weekends to make up for some cancellations.
The Centre undertakes to send parents, at least two weeks in advance of the date of the student’s first official examination, the lesson timetables during official examination periods.
The centre will calculate the net number of lessons cancelled in each official examination period and will refund the amount of each lesson in the final account statement adjustment.
Other fees
The following services are not included within the Cost of the Programme:
Registration fee
Payment of the registration fee constitutes a non-refundable fee intended to cover the operational, administrative and technological infrastructure costs associated with the organisation, management and maintenance of the academic services offered.
- 300 € when enrolling in one or two subjects.
- 500 € when enrolling in three or four subjects.
Official examinations
The Centre’s students will sit A-Level examinations with the Edexcel, IAL Edexcel and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) examination boards. For the 2025-26 course, the fee for each examination (paper) is 200 euros, bearing in mind that the number of “papers” varies according to the subject and the examination board. This fee may vary from one academic year to another.
For late registrations whose delay is not attributable to the Centre, the fee will depend on the cost of that examination at the time of registration.
Additional Classes
Additional Classes are those lessons agreed between the Centre and the parents, in the event that the student is considered to need additional support, and which are not contemplated within the scheduled teaching hours.
Additional Classes may only be scheduled for subjects that the student takes within the programme. The cost of Additional Classes is 60 €/hour and they are invoiced at the end of the month in which they have been delivered.
University application
The Centre is responsible for providing the student’s predicted grades and reference letters as part of the university application process.
The student is responsible for submitting any other type of documentation that a university may require of them.
If, in addition, the student requires help or advice with any service related to the university application, this will be invoiced separately, with the centre drawing up a personalised financial proposal.
UNED Accreditation
The centre is responsible for processing the UNED Provisional Accreditation and the Definitive Accreditation for students who carry out the application process to public or private universities in Spain.
The costs arising from this process, including those related to the generation of predicted grades by the examination boards, will be borne entirely by the client.
Reservation of Place
The Centre will send parents two quotations by email. The first contains the Cost of the Programme together with the Terms and Conditions, and this document must be returned duly completed and signed. The second contains the Reservation of Place, consisting of: (1) the registration fee, (2) the total cost of registration for the official examinations and (3) an advance payment of 1,500 euros of the cost of the programme.
Payment of the invoice corresponding to the Reservation of Place quotation will conclude the student’s enrolment, thereby guaranteeing their place at the Centre. The advance payment of the cost of the programme will be deducted from the first invoice, in accordance with the payment schedule in clause 48.
The Reservation of Place is non-refundable.
Method of Payment
Payment of the Reservation of Place must be made by bank transfer within 10 calendar days of the issuing of the invoice.
Payment of the Cost of the Programme must be made by direct debit, into the bank account indicated by the Centre on the SEPA direct debit mandate. The Centre will carry out the corresponding SEPA debits, in accordance with the following schedule:
- First instalment: at the start of lessons.
- Second instalment: 1 to 3 December.
- Third instalment: 1 to 3 March.
The invoices for each instalment will be issued one week before each of the final direct debit dates.
As a general rule, payment for any other service must be made by transfer.
Surcharges and non-payment
At the Centre’s discretion, depending on the case, delay in payment due to an incident in the SEPA debit of any of the fees described above will be subject to a 5% surcharge.
If the invoices for each instalment are not received one week before the final date stipulated for the SEPA debit in clause 48, it is the parents’ responsibility to contact the Centre.
Failure to receive the invoice corresponding to an instalment does not exempt parents from their obligation to have sufficient funds in the account to meet the direct debit within the scheduled deadlines.
If parents do not pay the sums owed, the student may be excluded from the Centre. Likewise, the Centre also reserves the right not to register the student for the official examinations and to withhold all of the student’s results, certificates and records until the sums owed are paid.
No fee will be refunded for the temporary absence of the student due to illness or another cause.
If a third party is responsible for paying any of the centre’s expenses, parents must inform the centre in advance, providing the third party’s details. Parents accept that it is their responsibility to clearly explain to them all the conditions set out in these terms and conditions, as well as to provide them with a copy of this agreement.
Absence Policy, Changes in Teaching Staff and Making Up Lessons
Student absences, whether justified or not, will not be made up and do not exempt the charging of the lessons.
Teaching staff may be replaced for justified cause, for a limited period or permanently, by another teacher with the same qualifications.
In the event that any lesson is suspended at the academy’s instigation or coincides with a recoverable holiday indicated in the Think Ahead Academy calendar, it will be made up. If it is not possible to arrange such make-ups for reasons attributable to Think Ahead Academy, the amount of each absence would be refunded in the final account statement adjustment.
Health, safety and damages
In the event of a medical emergency, the Centre will do everything possible to contact the parents. However, if this is not possible, parents authorise the Centre to seek medical advice and treatment for the student and undertake to pay all expenses that the Centre may eventually incur, releasing the Centre from all liability.
Parents assure that they understand, under their responsibility, that, in the event of an outbreak of a contagious or infectious disease, the Centre may have to close or prohibit the entry of a student or a group of students for the period deemed necessary by the management. In this event, parents explicitly waive any type of claim against the Centre.
When the student is at the Centre, the father, mother or legal guardian accepts that their mobile phone be kept in the custody of the Centre’s staff, unless the student themselves requests its use in the event of an emergency. Likewise, the electronic devices used by students at the centre will have restricted access to social networks and websites not required for their academic education.
Parents accept that the Centre is not responsible for the death, bodily harm or losses or damage of any kind that the student may suffer at the school and which are not attributable to negligence on the part of the Centre.
Parents are responsible for and must pay for any intentional damage caused by the student to property of the Centre, of the centre’s staff or of other students. Parents of students who lose or misplace books, iPads or other materials that have been provided must reimburse the Centre 100% of the price of the items reflected in the corresponding purchase invoices.
School life
Parents accept the authority of the management and of the other members of staff on their behalf to take all disciplinary or preventive measures necessary to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the student and of the centre community as a whole.
At the management’s discretion, the Centre reserves the right to temporarily suspend or expel a student in the event of misconduct or a serious breach of discipline.
Students may not smoke or consume illegal drugs or alcohol on the centre’s premises. It is strictly prohibited to bring to the centre or possess any type of drugs or weapons. In the event of suspected consumption of drugs or alcohol, tests may be required, of which the parents will be duly informed.
Any communication by the Centre, or its staff, held with one of the parents will be deemed received by both.
Examination Centre
Think Ahead Academy is a private, non-regulated educational centre and, at the same time, an official IGCSE and A-Level examination centre for the Edexcel examination board.
Those interested in sitting an official Edexcel or Cambridge examination may register, through the means and procedures provided by Think Ahead Academy, in as many examinations as they wish.
The student will be formally registered in each of the official examinations upon receipt by Think Ahead Academy of the registration form, with the corresponding invoicing process starting in parallel.
Once registration for a session has been formalised, Think Ahead Academy undertakes to hold the examination on the date and time scheduled by the corresponding examination board, for which it will provide the necessary human and material resources.
The price of this service will be 200 euros per examination (paper), bearing in mind that the number of “papers” varies according to the subject and the examination board.
University Access
Think Ahead Academy is a private, non-regulated educational centre.
Think Ahead Academy students who sit the official examinations, whether on the premises of the centre itself or at Virtus College (an institution with which a collaboration agreement exists), will obtain an official IGCSE and/or A-Level certificate for each subject in which they have been assessed.
These certificates are sufficient for access to universities in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, among others, provided that the rest of the specific admission requirements established by each university institution are met.
For access to a large majority of universities in Spain, both public and private, obtaining the UNED Accreditation is sufficient. However, for some universities it may be necessary to have A-Level studies officially recognised (homologación). Owing to its status as a non-regulated educational centre, Think Ahead Academy students do not have the possibility of having their studies officially recognised.
Therefore, it is the parents’ responsibility, prior to the student’s enrolment at the Centre, to find out whether, for the universities in Spain to which the student intends to apply for a place, official recognition is required or whether, on the contrary, presenting the UNED Accreditation is sufficient.
The procedure for obtaining the UNED Accreditation may be carried out through the so-called “Direct Access Route” (Studies of Annex I: Educational systems of the EU or countries with a reciprocity agreement and access requirements of Art. 2.1.I.), provided that the student meets the conditions stipulated by the UNED. All applicable regulations can be consulted in the «UNED Regulations for the accreditation of students coming from International Educational Systems for access and admission to the Spanish University», available on the official website: https://unedasiss.uned.es/home
Think Ahead Academy will handle the necessary procedures for obtaining the UNED Accreditation on behalf of the student. The costs arising from this process, including those related to the generation of predicted grades by the examination boards, will be borne entirely by the client.
Duration, modifications and termination
The agreement between the parents and the Centre set out through the clauses of this Terms and Conditions document enters into force on the date of its signing.
The agreement will be valid until the student ceases to be enrolled at the Centre and as long as each of the parties fulfils the obligations incumbent upon them under this agreement.
A student who has, or has had, behaviour contrary to the internal regulations may be excluded from the Centre at the moment these facts become known to the Centre, regardless of the date on which such behaviour took place.
The exclusion or expulsion of a student in the cases set out in clauses 54 and 88 implies the termination of the agreement set out between the parents and the Centre by means of this document, this termination not entailing the refund of any fee previously paid by the parents to the Centre.
Parents may unilaterally terminate the agreement, provided they notify it in writing and on the understanding that:
- The amounts previously paid will not be refunded to them.
- A final account statement adjustment will be carried out, taking into account the lessons delivered up to the date of termination. If the difference between the amounts previously paid and the total lessons delivered results in an amount owed to the Centre, a final invoice will be issued to the client. This invoice will take into account the refund of any lessons cancelled during the examination sittings.
- The Centre reserves the right to demand payment of up to 30% of the unpaid instalments of the programme for the damages caused by way of loss of profit.
Final Provisions
Think Ahead Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions, notifying students and families in advance. This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties for the Private Candidates Programme 2025-26.
